WEG Automation Distributor Drives Specialist Training

FreeThis class provides Authorized WEG Automation Distributors an overview of the complete WEG Automation product offers including overview of available tools and resources to assist in specification and selling efforts. Specific emphasis is focused on WEG Drive and Soft Starter offers.
The class will give participants the fundamental understanding required to install and start-up WEG low-voltage Drives and Soft Starters. Topics included; cold power checks and wiring confirmation, programming common functions such as three-wire start, accel/decel ramp, min/max speed, electronic potentiometer, multi-speed, PID loops, and other application specific topics.
Participants will receive training on the configuration and application of WEG’s Pump Genius software including basic set up of the Pump Genius system and use of the Pump Genius wizard. With hands on demos the student will learn how to set up simplex and multiplex pump systems, set up process set point and feedback control loops, configure for direct and reverse control, and set up and troubleshooting of faults and alarms.
Attendees will also be automatically enrolled in the SSW7000 Medium Voltage Soft Starter – Start-up and Troubleshooting class providing students the opportunity to control and operate the WEG SSW7000 soft-starter, understand and navigate programming hierarchy, perform oriented start-ups, and identify and troubleshoot basic faults. Participation in this class is optional, but recommended.
Objective: Provide Authorized WEG Automation Distributor Specialists the commercial and technical training needed to select, sell and technically apply WEG Automation offers. Participants who successfully complete the course will be authorized to start-up WEG Low Voltage Drives and Low and Medium Voltage Soft Starters.

Prerequisites: WEG Automation Sales Engineer provided introductory training on WEG Automation Offers. Knowledge of electrical principles, power electronics and control circuits with specific knowledge of motor control equipment. The ability to use multi-meters, amp clamps, oscilloscopes and computer. Knowledge of required safety practices and procedures.
